Graphic recording (also referred to as reflective graphics, graphic listening, etc.) involves capturing people’s ideas and expressions in words, images and color, as they are being spoken in the moment.
By viewing the live drawings during any type of event, participants begin to see patterns emerging; the outcome of the discussion/workshop/gathering starts to become more visible and accessible. This documentation created by the graphic recorder serves as the group memory and allows the group’s collective work to be shared with others (partners, donors, participants, etc.).
